Sharing God's Love with "Painted with Love" Valentine's Day Cards

I fell in love with Stampin' Up!'s "Painted with Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper. When it arrived I knew I wanted to make a set of 10 cards that I hope can be used at my church to tell others that God loves them and that they love them too. (I'm still waiting to hear if the church will let me put the display in the lobby.)

Each card shares hope and love, and are designed more as "friendship" cards than actual Valentine's Day cards.

But who loves us more than God, and this year I wanted to focus on that. It's my hope that these cards will travel far and wide reminding the recipients of that fact!

I made a quick blog post for each of them, so if you're interested in any of the details. They may not be in the exact order pictured, but here are the individual posts. They are:

Card #1
Card #2
Card #3
Card #4
Card #5
Card #6
Card #7
Card #8
Card #9
Card #10

The rack is actually a postcard rack from Clear Solutions in Hinsdale, NH. It's perfect for two of each card with envelopes, but putting four in each slot is a little tight. Still I think it will work fine for this project. Hopefully they won't be in there long at all.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #10

My last card in this set is my favorite. It not only uses the DSP, but also the set "Sure Do Love You."

I layered the DSP on gold paper then on Rich Razzleberry card stock.

The stamp set is "Sure Do Love You" from Stampin' Up! The little sentiment "God Love You" is from Inkadinkadoo.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #9

My ninth card is super simple. It's a DSP background with Stampin' Up!'s Love Mini Tinsel. The sentiment is from Stampabilities (Hobby Lobby) and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #8

The eighth card in this set is a simple card using the DSP with a cut out of a heart revealing the card stock underneath. The stamped words and die cut out "Prayers" is from Hero Arts.

The gold heart is a cut out from an old SU! die using generic glitter paper from Michaels.

Thanks for checking out this post!

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #7

Card #7 is a simple card using the DSP again with the Love Mini Tinsel in gold. The die cut hearts are gold foil from Michaels and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things and is called Cheerful Blessings.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #6

This card uses two sides of the DSP and is accented with a foil doily and Mini Tinsel also from SU! the sentiment is a loose stamp from Stampin' Up! (1994) that I must have bought on eBay.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #5

Card #5 in this set not only uses the DSP but the "Gold Glitter Flakes" too. (They're fun, but I'm still seeing them around the carpet one week later! I must learn to use glitter more neatly.)

The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread's "God Loves You" set. The Scribble Heart is from Simon Says Stamp.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #4

This is my first "shaker card" and I can't believe it took so long to make one!

This is my fourth card using Stampin' Up!'s "Painted with Love" DSP.

The clear acetate paper for the shaker part is from SU! too. The sequins are from Walmart. The sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #3

Here's my third card using Stampin' Up!'s "Painted with Love" DSP.

The hearts are cut out using an older SU! set of dies. The "Love and Hugs" sentiment is from CTMH.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #2

This is card 2 of 10 that I made using Stampin' Up!'s "Painted with Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used the "Love Mini Tinsel Trim" in both the gold and Powder Pink. The hearts are die cut using generic glitter paper from Michaels.

The sentiment, called "Warm Fuzzies Sentiments from Impression Obsession, is embossed in gold on Rich Razzleberry card stock.

Stampin' Up! "Painted with Love" Valentine #1

This card 1 of 10 that I made using Stampin' Up!'s "Painted With Love" DSP.

The sentiment is called "God Is For You" from Sweet & Sassy Stamps.

This was my first time using a stencil with embossing paste and I loved it! This Mosaic Heart Stencil is from Simon Says Stamp.

Stampin' Up! Petal Passion Memories & More Cards

My wonderful demonstrator, Liz Kuhns, sent me these two cards from Stampin' Up!'s 2018 Occasions catalog.

The set is called Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack, and for $10.00, seems like a really good deal. I usually don't use too many pre-printed images, but I really like them! It was so quick and easy to color them with Copics, add a sentiment, mat them and bam, I have two cards!

The card stock background for both is Basic Black, Perfect Peach and the DSP is "Everyday Chic" which is now discontinued, but any black and white pattern will give the same look.

So that's it! Super easy! Thanks Liz!

And thank you for stopping by my blog, and have a blessed day!

Darcie's Doggone Good Cards

A while back at a local stamp show I picked up this stamp set from Darcie's. Most, if not all of their stamp sets come with these little flat-back pins, usually for the faces. They are so cute! I don't know why they sat for so long without me using them.

I made four of these cards, to use up all the pins that matched this dog's face. I have two more to make.

Here's my supply list:

Darice Clouds Embossing Folder
Papertrey Blueberry Ink and Card Stock
Darcie's Doggone Good Stamp Set
Darcie's Doggone Good Embellishments
Misc. Grass Die
Misc. Green Card Stock
Copic Markers
Pearl Stickles for Cloud "Paint"

To the right are the other three that I did with the grass running across the front of the card:

First Card of the New Year!

Happy 2018! I spent the last two days organizing my craft corner, and I'm so excited for a new year of stamping. Tomorrow the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog goes live for those of us who aren't demonstrators, so I'm excited about that too.

Today's card is a combination card. My daughter needed a card to send to a friend in Texas, and since Challenge #131 over at Stamp, Ink Paper was to emboss something, I asked her to choose an embossing folder. She chose this one from Darice. I originally planned on coloring in the words, but liked the white even better.

In the background is a coordinating envelope. I needed to make one for the card, because it wouldn't fit in a standard A2 envelope because the cross was to big.

Finding colors to match the paper that I made the envelope out of was difficult. In fact, I used so many different colors that I don't remember which ones I finally settled on. Anyway, for the supplies that I do remember, they are:

Stampin' Up! "Who I Love" Stamp Set
Darice Embossing Folder
Patterned Paper from American Crafts
SU! Calypso Coral Card Stock
SU! Basic Gray Card Stock

Thanks to everyone over at Stamp, Ink Papers
for another great challenge, and thanks for
