Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #217

The first card I made this year is this one, using Stampin' Up!'s "Lovely as a Tree."  The current challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches is the design on the left, keyword FMS217.  I chose a tree because I always need masculine cards for church birthdays, so it's good to get started on them.

The base of the card is made from card Speckletone Oatmeal card stock sold at paper-papers.com. I love being able to buy the matching there envelopes too. I embossed a piece of that for the bottom, then used which card stock and Early Espresso card stock. The ink is SU Garden Green and Memento Rich Cocoa.

  2. This is such a perfect Man-Card! The colors you chose are perfect for keeping it masculine, and the leaves as an embellishment is fabulous! Happy New Year, and thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
