Handmade Gift-Sized Card Set

A while back I made these cute mini cards to attach to my hand knit items. They make great gifts for knitters and crocheters. The cool thing about these is that they aren't stamped, but computer generated. This makes it easy to create custom work, like putting the crafter's name on the front. The matching envelopes are my favorites!

Christmas or Valentine's Day?

Since watercoloring has become so popular, I wanted to give it a try this past Christmas. Digging through my stamps, I found this sentiment from Verve Stamps. I love it's meaning, so I painted a heart to go with it.

The result? A valentine's day card! I uploaded it to a card making forum on Facebook and got about 75% saying it wasn't Christmasy enough. However 25% loved it.

Next year I plan to make it look more Christmasy by adding gold and green somehow. I still love my card, perhaps I can send it to someone this February!

Spring Girl's Birthday (From A Free Digi Stamp!)

Sometimes I forget the things I pin, and this was no exception. I found this image somewhere on Pinterest, but just now got around to printing it out and using it.

Here's the link to my Pinterest Page with it: https://www.pinterest.com/KennethCityMom/digital-stamps/.

I finished it up with Copic Markers, Stickles, Patterned Paper, Card Stock and Butterfly Punches (SU!).

Feminine Birthday

This card was pretty quick and simple to make. I started with an embossing folder from Darice and slid ink pads over it to give the impression some color. I stamped the image with Stampin' Up!'s "Because I Care" set. The ink is Memento's Elderberry and Northern Pine. The card stock is Stampin' Up!'s Perfect Plum and Bazzill's Holly. The middle of each flower is dotted with Stickles.

Layered Letters Blessing

I bought this set with the intention of making custom birthday cards, but quickly realized that it is so versatile.

For this generic card for my church, I took the word "Blessings" and put it on 3 lines.

The card stock is Stampin' Up! Mint Macaron and Baked Brown Sugar.

DSP from SU too.

Twine from Michael's.

I saw this technique in the latest Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. They embossed a white paper then daubed over it in a camo-like pattern. I loved the technique and copied it using the supplies I have on hand. Here's what I used, but with this technique, anything goes:

110# White Card Stock
Embossing Folder
Island Indigo Card Stock
Island Indigo Ink
Daffodil Delight Ink
Watermelon Wonder Ink
Crystal Stickles
Yellow Shimmer Paper
Teal Glitter Paper

Old-Fashioned Sympathy

I loved this stamp, from Eclectic Marketplace, when I first saw it at my local scrapbook store. Paired with some background flowers, a brown scallop, antique paper lace doily it makes a perfect sympathy card. The misc. accessories are from Michaels. I especially love the butterfly paperclip!

Coral Crazed Birthday Wishes

Calypso Coral is one of my favorite colors, but until now I never thought about pairing it with Cajun Craze. But that worked out well when I did it with this card.

The stamp set is Flower Fancy from Stampin' Up!

The doilies is a yard sale find from the 1950's.

I'll surely have to keep this great combo in mind the future.

Pretty Thankful for Christmas

Keeping up with the birthday cards I make for my church kept me from doing Christmas cards this year, but I was able to do some Christmas "thank you" cards.

From the first time I saw this set I fell in love with it's simplicity. The set is called "Pretty Thankful" from Stampin' Up! It comes with cute little flowers too, but I wanted to keep it on the masculine side, so I left them off.

I used some red raffia instead of the bow stamp that came with the set, again to keep it from looking too frilly.

The card stock is Cherry Cobbler and the DSP is from Stampin' Up! as well.

Poppy Birthday

I used Verve's Poppy Birthday Stamp Set.

The flowers are done in SU Watermelon Wonder, first by stamping off the flower then using full color on the circles.

The sentiment is also in Watermelon. Garden Green was used for the leaves. Daffodil Delight was used for the little dots.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA280

Tonight I needed some inspiration, and Pals Paper Arts sketch PPA280 was just what I needed to finally pull out this Stampin' Up! set called By The Tide. It's a perfect set for masculine cards.

The colors used are Pear Pizzaz, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar.

Thanks, Pals Paper Arts, for the inspiration I needed tonight!

Bicycle Birthday

I can't remember the name of this stamp-I picked it up at a show, and even after googling it's still a mystery. But bicycle stamps are abundant now, and paired with die cut grass and sun, they make great birthday cards!

Felt Sticker Cards

As much as I love stamping, sometimes I can't resist something like these felt owls. I think I picked them up at Walmart while grocery shopping one day. I paired him with Stampin' Up!'s DSP and Early Espresso card stock to make this super-easy card for a young person at church.

Label Love Birthday

Using the colors of the plaid as a starting point, I created this card using Stampin' Up!'s Label Love Set and coordinating die. The twine is from Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Burlap Birthday Blossoms

I made this card using Stampin' Up!'s Birthday Blossoms and the coordinating punch. The background burlap is from a wide strip of ribbon that I cut down. The twine is from Michael's. Any generic sentiment will do, but mine in from the Poppy Birthday set from Verve Stamps.
